Visitor Information

Welcome to Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare’s (JHAH) visitor information page. We are delighted that you are visiting us. We provide expert support at both our Al-Hasa and Dhahran facilities, and would like to assure you that the care of our patients and visitors is our top priority. Hospital visits can be worrying, and we make every effort to provide a comfortable environment, with our dedicated teams on hand to answer any questions you may have about our facilities or aspects of care.

General information

Visiting is restricted to two visitors in a double room and to four visitors in a single occupancy room at the same time at the bedside

  • Kindly refrain from bringing babies and young children into the hospital when visiting
  • Older children (12+) can visit, but have to be supervised by an adult
  • It is important that visitors use hand gel sanitizer when entering and leaving the ward. Please feel free to ask staff if they have washed their hands
  • Please do not visit for 48 hours if you have had diarrhea or vomiting
  • Please do not visit if you have a cough, cold or sore throat
  • Please use the chairs provided in the room and do not sit on the patient's bed, and always use the visitors' toilets
  • Flowers are prohibited in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
  • Talk to staff if you have concerns about the cleanliness of the ward or public areas
  • If the visiting times cause difficulties, please speak to a staff member
  • Please check with our nursing teams about bringing in food items

Food Services

Cafeterias

The main cafeteria for visitors and staff is located on the ground floor in Building 3, opposite administration.
Open seven days from 6 a.m – 8:30 a.m, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m, 5 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. 

Coffee stations

Al-Hasa has Café Liwan coffee shops at both its outpatients and inpatients areas, offering a wide range of beverages and hot and cold snacks.
Open from 6:30 a.m. – 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 1 p.m. – 10 p.m. weekends and holidays.

Vending machines

Available throughout Al-Hasa hospital, these offer hot and cold beverages as well as a selection of healthy snacks.

Additional Services

Mosques and prayer rooms 

Al-Hasa’s female prayer area is located near the rehabilitation unit.

Flower shop 

A flower shop can be found near the main entrance.
Open 12:30 – 8 p.m. seven days a week.

Cash machine 

Al-Hasa’s ATM can be found at the inpatient main entrance of the hospital.

Bedside TV and phone service

Most wards have televisions and bedside telephones.

Open 6:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. on weekdays, and from 6:30 - 11 a.m. on weekends and holidays.

Coffee stations

We have coffee stations throughout the hospital. Dhahran’s main coffee shop is located to the right of the main entrance, offering a wide range of beverages and hot and cold snacks. 
Open from 6:30 a.m. - 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and from 2 - 10 p.m. on weekends and holidays.

 A second coffee shop, Café Liwan, offers snacks, breakfast and lunch.
Open from 6 a.m. - 6 p.m., Sunday through Thursday.

Mini market

The mini market is located in Building 61 and offers a selection of snacks and convenience items for our patients and visitors.
Open from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Sunday through Thursday.

Vending machines

Available throughout the hospital, these offer hot and cold beverages as well as a selection of healthy snacks.

The female prayer area at Dhahran is located in the basement of Building 61, along with our male mosque.

Welcome guides

We offer a welcome guide service to assist you with directions within our hospitals and provide you with a wheelchair if needed. They are stationed at the main entrances of the hospitals and at the Primary Care Building 50 at Dhahran, and the outpatient entrance at Al-Hasa.

Care Services

Pharmacy

At JHAH, we know it is important for you to quickly and easily refill a prescription, or find out more about your prescribed medication. Our MyChart online health portal enables you to arrange medication refills wherever you are, and can send you notifications when medication is available for you to collect or renew. You won’t have to travel far to collect your medication, as all of our clinics have a pharmacy where prescriptions ordered by our expert physicians can be conveniently filled.
