Oncology & Blood Disorders

What is the Oncology Institute?

At Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare’s (JHAH) Oncology Institute, we pride ourselves not only on our academic research and specialized education, but also on our clinical services and how they can help you. If you or a loved one are suffering from a tumor or blood disorder, our highly skilled team of physicians, Oncology Nursing Society (ONS)-certified nurses and specialized support staff can provide you with the latest evidence-based care. We offer an extensive range of cancer-care services and facilities – including a Radiation Therapy Unit and a Blood Disorders Center.

With the first tumor registry in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, we support academic research, and our team includes internationally recognized speakers. In addition, we are an approved Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Ministry of Health (KSA MOH) Fellowship Program site in oncology and hematology, and the first oncology center developed in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia.

Oncology Institute services

We are committed to providing you with comprehensive care, tailored to your individual needs. Our medical team will be familiar with your personal case, and will coordinate your care across JHAH. We will include experts from other disciplines when needed, take into account your needs and concerns, and thoroughly assess possible treatment plans to ensure that your treatment is accurate and effective.

An ONS-certified nurse educator will provide specific information about your diagnosis and treatment plan. You will also be referred to our support services for nutrition management, social work, physical therapy or palliative care, as appropriate, to ensure that you and your family are supported in the process.

Our team members are highly engaged in the scientific academic community and dedicated to the continued research into novel therapies and cures. We have an extensive database and regularly collaborate with researchers in the region on population health, care management, and quality outcomes.

Looking to the future, the Oncology Institute is investing in the best training for our specialized physicians and nurses. As a KSA MOH Fellowship Program-approved site, our medical staff are training the next generation of oncology and hematology specialists from across the MENA region.

The Institute is also committed to community outreach and promoting the importance of oncology and blood-disorder screening. We partner with regional, national and international partners to contribute to the community through awareness education and scientific presentations.
