April Saathoff

April Saathoff is the Vice President and Chief Nursing Information Officer at Johns Hopkins Health System and Adjunct Faculty for the University of Maryland School of Nursing. She has 23 years of nursing experience, with 20 years focused in nursing informatics. She is certified in Healthcare Information and Management Systems and Nursing Informatics. She was the President of the Maryland Chapter of the American Nursing Informatics Association through 2020. She was the recipient of the Zynx CITE (Clinical Improvement Through Evidence) Award in 2015 and is a peer reviewer for the Applied Clinical Informatics Journal. She has authored numerous publications and presented on a variety of topics related to healthcare technologies and has extensive experience in large and small-scale healthcare technology implementations, management and strategic planning of informatics teams, nursing EBP/research projects, championing the use of innovative technologies, workflow redesign, and fostering collaborative interdisciplinary relationships.
