Dr. Thorsten M. Leucker, MD, PhD
Dr. Thorsten M. Leucker is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He serves as Program Director of the Johns Hopkins Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship and Director of Basic and Translational Vascular Biology Research.
Dr. Leucker is a preventive cardiologist and physician-scientist whose clinical and research interests focus on cardiovascular risk reduction, lipid disorders, vascular biology and the prevention of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease. His research investigates the mechanisms underlying vascular and coronary endothelial dysfunction and the translation of novel cardiovascular therapies into clinical care.
He is actively involved in clinical and translational research, cardiovascular clinical trials and the education and mentorship of the next generation of cardiovascular physicians and scientists.
