Dr. LeighAnn Sidone

 

LeighAnn Sidone, D.N.P., R.N., C.E.N.P., is Suburban Hospital's president and chief operating officer. Dr. Sidone has more than 30 years of service at Suburban Hospital, beginning her career as a patient care technician and oncology nurse Throughout her career, she's held progressive leadership roles including the vice president of nursing and chief nursing officer. Under her leadership, Suburban Hospital achieved American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Magnet designation in 2019 and 2024, a distinction awarded to fewer than 10% of hospitals in the United States. Under Dr. Sidone's leadership, Suburban Hospital has consistently achieved nationally ranked employee engagement scores at the 90th percentile and attrition rates below national benchmarks. In her time at Suburban Hospital, Dr. Sidone also led system nursing governance for Johns Hopkins Medicine as the Associate Chief Nurse Executive of Practice. Dr. Sidone earned her doctorate of nursing practice from Duquesne University, a master's degree in nursing from Loyola University in New Orleans, and a bachelor's degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
