Adaa Health Program Award

We are pleased to announce that Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare (JHAH) has won the Ada’a Health Program Award for the best Healthcare Performance Improvement Project in the Early Detection and Prevention Category. There were five different categories of awards, and all private and government healthcare organizations across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia submitted more than 600 projects. JHAH has also ranked second and third in Improving Critical Care and Delivering Specialized Care awards, respectively, making JHAH an organization with the highest number of Ada’a Health awards.

An award ceremony was held under the auspices of His Excellency the Minister of Health, Fahd bin Abdul Rahman Al-Jalajel, on February 5, 2023, in Riyadh, attended by Dr. Saeed Al-Yami, Chief Quality, and Patient Safety Officer, to represent JHAH and receive the prestigious awards.

JHAH Ada’a Health Program Awards for the Year 2022

First in Healthcare Performance Improvement Project in the Early Detection and Prevention Category

The award was granted to the “STAT OB” project. Improve Decision-to-Delivery Interval Time by Implementation of “STAT OB” Response Team-A Comprehensive Unit-based Safety Program Project. The project aims to improve the response to emergency caesarian section delivery to save the life of the mother and the baby.

Second in Improving Critical Care Award

The award was granted to the Comprehensive Unit-based Safety Program introduced in 2015 by Process Improvement Division/ Quality and Patient Safety Department. CUSP is a structured five steps patient safety model implemented at the unit level and relies on the wisdom of frontline staff to implement improvement.

Third in Delivering Specialized Care Award

The winner is Tawazon Program. Tawazon is a diabetes prevention program launched in 2018 by Population Health Department. Tawazon is a lifestyle modification program that employs early detection and educational and behavioral interventions to help prevent or delay the onset of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM).

About the Ada’a Health Program

Ada’a Health Program was launched in 2017 by the Ministry of Health (MOH) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is a program for the performance management of healthcare services to achieve the health goals of Vision 2030 and the Health Sector Transformation Program objectives.
