The Patients’ Choice Award gives patients the opportunity to express their appreciation and gratitude to our clinical and technical staff members.
This year’s ceremony was held on June 28, 2022, at the Dhahran Auditorium with Telepresence by the Service Excellence Unit. The event was attended by around 200 staff members who received awards for top-scoring and most improved services.
The event started with a brief introduction by the Person-Centered Care Chair, Tatiana Mezerhane. Then, a video message by Mr. Nabeel Al-Jama’, JHAH Chairman acknowledged the staff for overcoming the challenges they faced during the past year. While 2021 was yet another challenging year for people worldwide, it was especially difficult for healthcare workers. But your collaborative efforts helped to curb the pandemic, including the successful launch of the JHAH COVID-19 Vaccination Program and educational programs to promote precautionary measures in the communities you serve
He also commended the JHAH staff for their continual commitment to person-centered care.
“Your hard work was reflected in patient feedback and benchmarks – ranking among the top healthcare institutions in the GCC. Being awarded both Planetree International and Mowa’amah Gold Certifications is a true testament to your pursuit of excellence, which upholds Aramco’s commitment to providing world-class healthcare to our community”.
Mr. Al-Jama’ focused on the importance of the patient experience as a major differentiator for JHAH.
“As an institution, JHAH’s patient experience scores differentiate you from others in the region. But as individuals, you are making a tangible, lasting difference in people’s lives. These Patients’ Choice Awards are a small token of our appreciation for your tremendous efforts, amazing contributions, and dedication to keeping our communities safe”.
Salem Al-Shehry, JHAH Chief Operating Officer, re-iterated the importance of JHAH’s staff commitment to help end the pandemic.
“In 2021, you continued to excel; you took ownership. Not only did you maintain the patients’ journey but you notably improved it as well as enhanced the safety and wellbeing of our communities. The launch of the JHAH Vaccination Program added more pressure and responsibilities to your day-to-day work. You handled it with positivity and professionalism, providing us with hope for the ‘brighter future’ we live in today”.
The keynote speaker for the event Dr. Nafisa Al-Faris, chair of Oncology, noted the importance of compassion and commitment to quality care.
The event concluded with a luncheon at the Dhahran cafeteria.
