"I suffered from severe lower abdominal pain combined with a fever, nausea, vomiting, inability to move, and abdominal bloating," shared Salwa Alkhamis, and this is her story.
Salwa was previously diagnosed with a urinary tract infection, but she believed there was more to it. She decided to seek a second opinion from different hospitals. She came to JHAH hoping to find the leading cause for her intense pain and discomfort.
Salwa said, "I was aware of the symptoms of urinary tract infection. When I came to JHAH, I underwent several tests, and within 24 hours, I was diagnosed with a large tumor on the left ovary".
Dr. Turky Al Rujaib, Gynecologic Oncologist at JHAH, addressed Salwa's case and recommended an excision surgery immediately. "After the surgery, the treatment journey was smooth and comfortable, with the blessing of God for helping me in such a difficult situation with intolerable pain and the professional medical team who deserve praise for their dedicated time and effort they put into my case," said Salwa.
