JHAH Discusses Historic Magnet with Distinction Recognition on Al Ekhbariya TV
Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare (JHAH) recently joined Al Ekhbariya TV to discuss its historic achievement of American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Magnet® with Distinction and what this milestone means for nursing excellence, patient care and the future of the nursing profession.
In the interview, Dr. Hani Ayyad, Chief Nursing Officer, and Ghadeer Al Khazal, Emergency Services Nurse, share their perspectives on the achievement and the people and culture behind it.
JHAH achieved Magnet Recognition® with Distinction across all five of its campuses in Dhahran, Ras Tanura, Al-Hasa, Abqaiq and 'Udhailiah. JHAH is the first multi-hospital system outside the United States to achieve this level of recognition across all its sites through a single, unified system-wide appraisal. JHAH achieved the recognition on its first application, for a four-year term.
During the interview, Dr. Hani Ayyad reflects on the significance of the recognition and the commitment of JHAH nurses to delivering high-quality care, while Ghadeer Al Khazal brings the perspective of a frontline nurse and the role nurses play every day in shaping the patient experience.
At JHAH, approximately 1,600 nurses care for patients and communities across the organization. The organization continues to invest in nursing professional development, transition-to-practice programs and international knowledge exchange, supporting both the advancement of the nursing profession and the broader transformation of healthcare in Saudi Arabia.
